Budweiser, you’ve done it again. You’ve created an absolutely brilliant spot (capitalizing on irresistible cuteness, of course).
It’s incredible, actually. Once again, you’ve made me tear up at a beer ad. A beer ad. I don’t even like beer. Yet, I’m completely loyal to your brand solely due to your incredible storytelling. The ability to tell an entire story in a minute or two is unbelievable, and it’s even more unbelievable considering that I’m now completely emotionally involved after 30 seconds.
Horses and puppies are my weakness. It’s really not even fair. Like, seriously, I don’t care how tough you are, tell me you aren’t crying like a baby after watching these.
Some fun facts about these ads:
2013: The most-shared ad of the Super Bowl.
2014: The “Puppy Love” spot was Facebook’s most-shared ad of all time. And don’t even get me started on the “Friends Are Waiting” spot. You completely changed the tone surrounding discussions of drunk driving, arguably conveying your message much more effectively.
2015: With 30-second spots for the 2015 Super Bowl going at the oh-so-low price of $4.5 million, I think your 9 mil/ spot was well spent. That pup is just so stinkin’ cute.
Budweiser spots are some of the best advertising I’ve ever seen, so with that said, feel free to relive the cuteness with me:
